The origin of Metal-Chrome's creation goes back to the end of the 80's. At this time, the evolution of the aeronautical manufacturing sector privileged the fact of "to assembling".

Bruno REYNEAU, native to ROCHEFORT, and « former employee of Sogerma/Socea » convinced the local authorities with his project: To create a firm which would be specialize in the surface treatment and painting application of the plane's bigger parts.

The company was founded in February 1992 and the business began in July 1993. At the beginning, Metal-Chrome had a new building of 3000m² and employed only 6 people with a turnover of 50,000 Euros. Bruno REYNEAU implemented a policy of quality that would bear fruit. Metal-Chrome expanded and today has more than 30 aeronautical qualifications that has opened it up to the world market.

The firm expanded to a surface area of 4500m² thanks to an extension in 2001.The factory employed 74 people and had a turnover of 5.4 million Euros (2007).

Today, Métal-Chrome represents, after a further extension in 2010, to 10 000m² of building area and employs 106 people.

With more than 1 million parts treated per years, Metal-Chrome has become one of the three national leaders in  both fields: the surface treatment anti-corrosion, carried out thanks to an electro-chemical process of anodizing. And the painting without solvent application. These technologies are adapted for the aeronautical bigger parts and  to protect the environment.

Today, Metal-Chrome is certified ISO 9001 version 2008,  EN9100 version 2009, ISO 14001 and since december 2011 PRI NADCAP for the process of penetarnt inspection.
